Wevers Sport is a Dutch company with a rich history in rally racing and is currently a benchmark in the field of assistance and parts distribution in the automotive competition sector.
It is known for its expertise offering a range of services: rebuilding and developing engines, gearbox, differential, shocks, including vehicle maintenance, setup, logistical support, testing, selling and renting.
Erik Wevers, a poultry farmer from Markelo, once managed four thousand square meters of chicken coops. However, he made the choice to leave behind his farming career and has since become a prominent figure in the rally community, leveraging his extensive background in rally racing to establish a thriving business within the rally world.
Established in 1998, Wevers Sport quickly became the official worldwide parts supplier for Toyota Team Europe. In 2007, the company proudly took on the role of the official supplier for Skoda Motorsport Fabia WRC parts. By 2015, it had expanded its services to include Skoda Fabia R5 parts. In 2020, Wevers Sport was honored to become the official supplier for Volkswagen Rally.
Looking ahead to 2023, the company embarked on new ventures, including the acquisition of Zomer Groep engine specialists and a strategic alliance with MCE-5 to establish the Taurus UTV (T3 FIA) development factory and spare parts. Over the years, Wevers Sport achieved numerous national victories in rally events like the Hellendoorn Rally, as well as international championship successes, including a remarkable win in WRC2 with the Skoda Fabia R5. The journey in the world of motorsport also led the company to compete in the prestigious Dakar Rally.
